Narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim, our Beloved Nabi (SAW) has said:
"None amongst you is a perfect believer until I do not become more beloved to him than his father his children and all the people." (Bukhari & Muslim)
This hadith makes it evidently clear that the necessity of loving the Holy Prophet (SAW) determines one’s level of Iman and to perfect Iman one must love the Holy Prophet (SAW) more than anything and anyone! So this is not just a matter of action, but also a matter of the inner heart. And the Holy Prophet (SAW) has said:
"There is a certain piece of flesh in your body, and if that piece of flesh is impure, then all of your body will be impure. And if that piece of flesh is pure, then all of your body will be pure. What is that piece of flesh? It is the Heart." (Bukhari)
So we come to conclude from these 2 crucial hadith that we must work on purifying our hearts in order to attain the love of the Holy Prophet (SAW) to gain perfect Iman. So how can one purify the heart? Alhamdulillah, the mercy to mankind has given us the solution and said:
"There is a piece of flesh in your body. If it is right then your whole body will be right. That piece of flesh is your heart and the way to purify it is the Dhikr of Allah." (Bukhari & Muslim)
Unfortunately due to today’s materialistic lifestyle, many of the Muslims have strayed from such satisfaction of the heart and abadoned their hearts nurishment for their lower nafs. The Muslim youth have preoccupied their thoughts and actions for worldly benefit, neglecting the way of attaining perfect Iman!
Dearly respected brothers and sisters, open your hearts towards Islam and work hard in life for the pleasure of Almighty Allah and in order to attain perfect Iman before its too late!
